He Is Here Spoken Word

// Just had one of those “moment’s”: a brief encounter when God rushes into the ordinariness of life. For me, it was being side-swiped whilst at work wrestling with an Excel spreadsheet and hearing the track below for the first time. It features Amena Brown’s awe-inspiring spoken word “He Is Here”.

I am shaken and dumbstruck.

Listen on your knees.

The Campfire Story

// This is infectious. Broken people being made new by Jesus. A community made for all. The vision painted here for what God’s New Humanity, the Church, can be is thrilling, and I want to be part of it.

What about you?

Rend Collective Experiment

// A few months ago my good friend and fellow Mosaicer, Shmeady, pointed me to a fantastic Irish band that is The Rend Collective Experiment. In true James Bemrose styleee I promptly forgot about them…

Until they came to Southampton last week and Steph had the chance to go and listen to them (oh, and Shane Claiborne happened to be speaking too). By all accounts, they were amazing, showcasing their unique, quirky sound and communal approach to making music. A community approach to song writing… hmm, I like the sound of that!

To whet your appetite, check out below and go listen to them on Spotify.

SMS [Shine]

// A couple of weeks ago I played this awesome video from TheDavidCrowderBand to the Mosaic crew as I’m a great fan of stop frame animation and Jesus. Both feature in this song heavily.
